| Born in Cuba on November 3, 1941; graduated
from the University of Florida in 1965, with a major in
insurance and finance and did post-graduate work at the
College of Insurance in New York. Prior to the founding
of CONSULTA, he was associated with SEGUROSCA,
reportedly at that time, the largest Spanish-speaking
insurance broker in the world, as an independent
insurance broker, from 1969 to 1990. Worked for American International
Underwriters in New York City and was transferred to
Seguros Venezuela as Manager of the Accident and Health
Division in August 1967. He was also General Manager of
Alexander-Segurosca, a joint venture with the
international insurance brokerage firm Alexander &
Alexander, A&A, from 1972 to 1977.
